Incredible Chickpeas Crunchy Snacks

I haven’t been active here for a while now, sorry for that. But i have a great tip on delicious snacks, chickpeas

I used one can chickpeas with flavours of garlic and chili, yuuum!

What you need:

– 1 can of chickpeas(more if you want more snacks than the picture)

– 1 garlic

– salt

– chili powder

– olive oil

Put the oven on 150-170 degrees

Start by rinsing the chickpeas with water a few times.

Get a bowl, press the garlic, take about 2 tablespoons of olive oil(or 3), put the rinsed chickpeas into the bowl and mix

Then add the chili powder and salt and mix again so everything is mixed well together

Now take a long pan with a baking sheet on top and Spread out the chickpeas on the pan, try to separate them as much as you can so they will turn crispy.

Into the oven for about 30-50 minutes. You have to Keep an eye on them so they dont burn, and try to turn them a couple of times while in the oven.

Finished! 😍

Hope you liked this delicious snack 👌🏼

Hey guys!

Hope you all are having a great weekend! 😀

Who else loves crunchy salty snacks?

I’m obsessed with crunchy chips together with youghurt, mostly with sour youghurt. So now that I’m trying to be healthy I have found some good stuff to share with you all, for this time its Beetroot. I cook with beetroot in food or different kinds of salad, but now also crunchy chips. I have tried making chips with a lot of different vegetables, and not all of them gets the crunchiness that you want. So my favorite so far(except potato chips of course) is Rootbeet chips, and they get crunchy and so yummy.

This is a super easy recipe for making beetroot chips.

Perfect to serve next to the food or as a snack afterwards, or for a Friday night with Netflix 🙂

All you need is:

  • Beetroot (1 or 2) – One beetroot will cover one baking paper( I made two)
  • Baking paper
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt, Cayenne pepper(or what you prefer)
  1. Set the oven to 150 degrees
  2. Peel off the surface of the Beetroot
  3. Slice it into thin thin pieces, a slicer would be perfect, but whatever works as long as the pieces are thin.
  4. Put all the slices in a bowl, mix in some olive oil(about 2 table spoon, depending on how many beetroots you are doing)
  5. Little bit of salt and mix with your hands(its the easiest)
  6. Now, take the pieces one by one and put them on the baking paper, they can go close together since they will shrink in size.
  7. Sprinkle just a tiny bit of salt, and cayenne(of whatever you prefer)
  8. Put it into the oven – and wait for about 30-50 minutes, all depends on how big of slices you have. I prefer to slice them bigger(but still thin of course)

They should look dry, not wet. Even if they feel soft, they will get hard and crispy when you take them out to cool down.

I always serve this with sour yoghurt, and spice with salt and pepper, soo delicious 😀

Hope you guys enjoyed this simple healthy snacks recipe 🙂

Walk barefoot in paradise…

Have you ever traveled to a place where you can relax to a 100%, feel the white sand between your toes and have no worries?

Well I have traveled a lot, but I had never felt that relaxed as I did in Gili Meno(island in Indonesia).

The plan was to stay in Bali for two weeks, but after a few days of exploring Bali, we wanted to have a more relaxed vacation with amazing beaches and calm environment. Unfortunately we already booked the hotel in Bali for the whole stay, but we wanted to find paradise. After searching online we found a great island that would release all our stress to just enjoy everything, stress free.

We booked a hotel, only 2 stars, and the one we stayed in Bali was 5 stars, but we were not worried since the hotel had great reviews and nice pictures. We also booked boat from Bali to Gili Trawangan, to then find a boat who could take us to paradise, Gili Meno.

When we were boarding the boat that was taking us to Gili Trawangan, they said it would take a few hours there. And since I get seasick a lot, we went to sit outside, on top of the boat. No seats, nothing. There were only about six people up there with us.

To sum up this boat trip, it was quite an experience, haha, after about one hour, the waves got bigger and bigger. We were all wet and i was screaming to hold on and not fall into the water. It was horrible but fun at the same time. And best of all I didn’t get seasick ,haha 😀

We were getting closer to Gili Trawangan, and all you could see were charming boats, absolute incredible turquoise water, and A LOT of people.

After unloading all our bags, we tried to find a boat that could take us to Gili Meno island. After a lot of bargaining with different boat owners, we got a good price. About 30 minutes boat trip, the boat took us to the hotel, Siri Resort Gili Meno(Link to the hotel). Haha, it was so amazing to get the ride exactly to the hotel beach. The boat staff carried our luggage walking from the boat, through the water, to the hotel reception, carrying the bags on top of their heads, to avoid water on our bags.

I already loved the feeling. The incredible water, the white sand, the beach, the simple and elegant hotel in all white, not much people around. WOW!

We got the room keys to our bungalow with ocean view, our expectations were not very high since it was a 2 star hotel.

When we got to the bungalow, we went from the reception, walked through the sand, and to our door. We had a cute little terrass, we went inside, it was small and neat. But everything was so fresh and nice, minimalistic. Kingsize bed, tv, closet between the bathroom and the bedroom. And the bathroom was amazing, just like a spa resort. It all felt very zen like. We loved it!

We changed to bathing clothes and walked a few metres to the beach, and ordered food. The menu was not very long, a few things, like pizza, ceasar salad etc all standard. The prices were a bit more expensive than in Bali, since they only had delivery by boat once a day. But it didn’t matter, the environment was mind-blowing.

This island, didn’t  have any cars or motorcycles, just walking or riding horse and carriage.

We walked barefoot, to explore the island, we were surrounded with amazing beaches everywhere. And small hotels, small shops, small restaurants. After walking a while, it was already dark, we stopped at a fish restaurant. They hade candle lights everywhere, and all the tables were private so you could just enjoy the food and the surroundings. And the food was AMAZING! You can’t go wrong with grilled fresh fish, and the prices on these places were cheaper than the hotel.

One thing that I didn’t like was that there were no lights on the roads/sand we walked through to get around the island. So when it went dark, it was pitch black. A lot of hotels offer flashlight, but we didn’t know so we used our phones all the way back. I was quite afraid of the dark, since it was only jungle and beach. I thought a snake or some other animals would appear in front of me or behind me all the time, haha. But nothing happened. Everyone was walking these roads in the dark, to go to other restaurants or shops.

After about two days, we had explored a lot and everything felt so more relaxed, even in the dark. And the sunsets on the beach is incredible!

This is when this paradise made us 100% relaxed with no worries or stress to think about. The perfect getaway if you need it.

We lived the beach life every single day, we played backgammon, snorkling, ate great fresh fish, had coconut drinks. Well yeah, it was AMAZING!

You can do all sorts of things there, relaxing things. Snorkling, just at the beach! Go on fishing trips, yoga, find cosy restaurants etc.

JUST TO RELAX and get some energy to go back to the real world with all stress.

This was the best trip I’ve ever been to! I would really recommend this island if you want to relax and enjoy the surroundings 🙂

Have you been to a trip like this before, and if so, where did you travel? 😍

I have for many years only bought expensive makeup, because I thought it was “better”. But that is absolutely not true, many drugstore brands has developed a lot and are challenging the more expensive brands. Which is GREAT! Who doesn’t want a cheaper alternative and still have the same result and quality?! 🙂

For example, Nyx cosmetics and Elf has a lot to offer with good prices. Also the huge brands like Maybelline, Isadora and Loréal has some great products I have tried.

I have tried a lot of makeup dupes from different brands, mostly setting powders. Since I use it every day I wanted to find some products with the same result but better prices.

LAURA MERCIER(38 USD) Translucent Loose Setting Powder VS. NYX COSMETICS(10 USD) Studio Finishing Translucent Powder

laura mercier

Laura Mercier – Translucent Loose Setting Powder (you can buy it here)

  • Long-lasting wear, without adding weight or texture
  • Matte finish with a touch of sheer coverage
  • Absorbs oil and Reduces shine all day
  • Will not settle into fine lines or pores

DUPE – Nyx Cosmetics – Studio Finishing Powder (You can buy it here)

  • A miracle in a jar
  • 100% pure mineral silica finishing powder
  • Works on all skin tones
  • It leaves your skin looking radiant and luminous

So does Nyx Studio Finishing powder work as well as Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder?

Yes it works, but there is a few things you need to keep in mind. I have oily t-zone, and I always use a translucent powder on top of foundation and concealer, just baking and brush it off.

So for the Laura Mercier you can bake with no problem and not be too careful since it is so smooth and blends very well. But with the Nyx powder you have to be careful taking too much powder since it can be a little bit “white”, especially when taking photos with flash. So just be careful using too much and brush it off completely. If you do this, I think the dupe is great, and also the price is amazing! They both wear very well on the skin and the makeup lasts much longer.

Have you tried any of these loose powders? What did you think?

LCHF Pizza Recipe

Let me first say that I have just started(3 weeks ago) a diet called LCHF. LCHF stand for Low carb High fat. I tried this diet many years ago and it worked, together with exercise. But it all ended after a year, when I went back to eating junk food again.

But NOW I want to see how long I can keep up with this diet and how the result will be this time, without that much exercise(as last time).

I love pizza, so I had to find a simple and easy recipe for that, a thin and nice pizza.

 200 Degrees in the oven(middle).

  • 6 Eggs
  • 8 dl grated cheese
  • A few sliced cheese or the grated cheese(for the filling)
  • Mozzarella cheese(I take 1)
  • Tomato Puree(I use a thin layer)
  • Spices(salt, pepper, paprika)
  • 1 onion
  • Paprika (I use yellow)
  • 1 or 2 mushrooms (depending on what you like)
  • Zucchini (half)
  • Sivri Paprika (green)

  1. Put the oven on 200 degrees
  2. Mix the eggs and the grated cheese in a bowl
  3. Spice it up with some salt, pepper and paprika powder, don’t overdo the salting since the cheese is already salty.
  4. Put a baking paper on to a pan(long and little deep so the pizza base doesn’t drain. Pour over the mix(egg and cheese) evenly over the pan
  5. Put the pan in the middle of the oven. Wait a few minutes until you see the base is golden brown.
  6. While waiting, you can chop the onions, mushrooms, both paprika and zucchini
  7. When the pizza base is done take it out and spread out the Tomato Purée on the pizza base
  8. Spread the sliced cheese on top of the tomato puree – you don’t need too much
  9. Then spread the onions, mushrooms, both paprika and zucchini. And top it of with mozzarella, pinch out with your hands and spread it.
  10. Then again into the oven until the cheese has melted down

Bon Appetite! 🙂

Let me know what you think 🙂
